SOCAL PART 1

California here we come!

I have been looking forward to this little weekend getaway for a while now, knowing that I'd have Coach all to myself!

No kids. No sports. No friends or family. Just us.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE our kids, I LOVE our sports, I LOVE both our friends and family.

But being able to spend this amount of time together with no distractions, and just us, is something we both really needed.

So we hopped on a plane and flew to San Diego to stay in my mom's place in Oceanside.

We are both beach and sun lovers. Another thing we have in common.

We are literally like clones of each other, haha!

We totally get each other, relate on so many levels, love to laugh and laugh often, and enjoy doing alot of the same things.

On the plane he said, "You're gonna be spending a lot of time with me this weekend, hopefully you won't be sick of me by the end!"

I immediately responded with, "I don't think that's possible, and I just hope you aren't sick of me!"

"Not possible" he said, "You're too enjoyable to be around."

We immediately checked out the beach when we got there, watched the sunset and then went out to a cool vibin dinner spot in Carlsbad village.

I've spent some time in this area, visiting my sister who lives there, so I'm familiar with a few spots and really enjoyed showing Coach, and introducing him to some of my favorite routines when I travel there.

One of my favorite things to do when I visit the beach house is go for a morning walk/run to the pier and back. And it just so happens that the top gun house is located right across the street from the pier and was restored the past couple years in preparation for the new movie coming out.

Obviously we had to go see it and get a picture in front of it!

After our morning run and breakfast, the rest of our first full day there was spent walking along the beach, dipping into the ocean, relaxing in the sun, people watching, and enjoying each other's company.

That night we ate dinner at a nice place called Pacific Coast Grill that was located right on the beach with a view of the ocean and sunset.

I remember having a conversation with Coach about how amazing this trip was so far, and how much we were enjoying it and I thanked him for being so easy going, and for treating me so well.

His response, "Are you kidding me? Sara, THANK YOU for being so amazing! I can't imagine not giving you the very best, you are incredible and deserve to be treated that way."

I feel the same about him. He's incredible!

We watched the sunset, and then grabbed dessert and went back to the house and watched a movie.

I may have left out a few details already, but I think you can imagine what goes on during an adult trip kid free, haha!

Stay tuned for Part 2, it only gets even better!
