"You've lost that loving feeling"
Have you ever heard a love song that just hits different and literally brings you to tears?
I could make a list of about 100 of those type of songs. Not just love songs too.
But last weekend some of these hit REALLY different.
Coach played a few songs for me in the car a few nights ago, and it ended up being one of those moments where you stay in the car parked in the garage to finish listening to them.
Music is a love language. And I LOVE that Coach wanted to share some of that with me as a way to tell me how he feels.
And the reason why I think that loving feeling hits so different with Coach is because I think for the first time in my entire life I actually FEEL in love and FEEL loved back by another person.
I don't know that I've ever actually true love in my life. Not even in my first marriage.
Was I in love when I got married the first time? Maybe on some level, but definitely not the same level as I feel now.
I don't know that I even knew what love was, or what it was supposed to feel like when I was younger.
But I think I know now it feels like a calm and safe place as well as your biggest adventure all at the same time.
It feels like home. And alot like heaven on earth.
The first song he played for me was a version of "Heaven" by Matt Bomer.

Coach and I ended up sending each several songs back and forth the next day, which brought me to tears. I've never been loved by someone this much, and wanted to give just as much back.
It feels calm, and safe, and like a big adventure all at the same time!
